Chen Zhengping is a National First-class Performer and graduated from Sichuan Conservatory of Music. He is a delegate of the 19^th CPC National Congress, a member of the Chinese Musicians Association, the Vice Chairman of Zigong Musicians' Association and the Deputy General Manager of Zigong Dance, Song and Ballad Performance Company. In 2014, The Legend of Salt Well, an opera, (in which Chen Zhengping played the title role of Yanmeizi), won the Five “One” Project Award of Sichuan Province and was reported in the only highest-level magazine—Opera.
