International Department of College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts relies on the Chengdu-ASEAN Exchange Center, a platform set up by the municipal government at the college. It is mainly responsible for the daily management of international students, Chinese language teaching, international exchanges and other related work of the college, and carries out academic education and non-academic education for international students from countries along the "Belt and Road", especially ASEAN countries.

International Department is committed to building an international art talent training system featuring open international education concepts, innovative international teaching models, as well as Chinese and ASEAN characteristics. It specially invites high-end experts in professional fields at home and abroad, sets up a high-level Chinese language teaching faculty, and cultivates high-end international art talents.

Over the past seven years, College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts has enrolled a total of more than 1,146 international art students from 43 countries across five continents and introduced more than 50 foreign art experts, making it the teaching unit with the largest number of international art students among domestic institutions of the same level. 

2025 International Culture and Art Exchange Festival

At present, there are 545 registered degree-seeking international students from 31 countries, including 476 undergraduates and 69 postgraduates. Adhering to the school-running philosophy of "Internationalization, High-end Orientation and Distinctive Features", the college has created a distinctive curriculum system, explored Sichuan's local culture, and organized international teachers and students to participate in thousands of social practice activities. It has supported them to win more than 200 awards in various high-level art competitions. 

Chinese and Foreign Students Literature Reading Activity

Upholding the international development strategy of "Bringing in and Going Global", the college has undertaken various foreign affairs activities of Chengdu, organized more than 100 people to conduct overseas exchanges, and carried out various art and cultural exchange activities with a total participation of over 10,000 people. Taking art, culture and international exchanges as the starting point, International Department actively serves teachers and students, serves local communities, serves Chengdu, and promotes cultural and artistic exchanges between China and foreign countries.

It aims to promote the charm of Chinese culture worldwide and provide a platform for Chinese culture enthusiasts of all ages to showcase themselves and enhance mutual friendships.
