Students of YU Junjian National Vocal Music Senior Seminar, CCAA Won the Chinese Golden Bell Award for Music

    On October 24, the 13th Chinese Golden Bell Award for Music Finals ended successfully in Chengdu. The students of YU Junjian National Vocal Music Senior Seminar made outstanding achievements, including the "Gold Award" granted to ZHANG Mingxu, ZHANG Yu and FENG Jinwei, and the "Excellence Award" granted to YANG Xiyinzi and LI Chuanlong. LI Jiawei, a student of YU Junjian Public Welfare Classroom, was granted the "Gold Award".

    After eight days of quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals, all four major awards of the 13th Chinese Golden Bell Award for Music, including piano, guzheng, vocal music (Bel Canto) and vocal music (national), were grandly announced. A total of 12 participants, including 5 students from YU Junjian National Vocal Music Senior Seminar and 1 student from YU Junjian Public Welfare Classroom, were involved in the National Finals of the Chinese Golden Bell Award for Music Vocal (National) Competition. Before the official competition, they studied in the College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts (CCAA) and Beijing YU Junjian Public Welfare Classroom for several months, which not only significantly improved their professional level but also enabled the students to give full play to their advantages and show their unique style in the competition, thereby making them achieve excellent outcomes.


    Founded in 2001, the Chinese Golden Bell Award for Music is the most authoritative and oriented national professional award in the Chinese music circle, and jointly recognized as the national art award with the Plum Performance Award in the Chinese drama field, China TV Golden Eagle Award and Golden Rooster Award in Chinese film field. With the theme of "Centenary Anniversary Grand Occasion", the 13th Chinese Golden Bell Award for Music was sponsored by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Chinese Musicians' Association and undertaken by Chengdu Municipal People's Government. From October 15 to 27, it solemnly paid a fitting tribute to the Centenary Anniversary of the Founding of the CPC with a total of 44 high-quality competition events and 8 high-level concerts.

    CCAA has successfully held two YU Junjian National Vocal Music Senior Seminars so far. YU Junjian, Dean of CCAA, personally taught the students as a leading expert, with JIANG Lina and LV Hongwei as class teachers. A large number of national famous artists and art educators, including DENG Yuhua, ZOU Wenqin, MENG Ling, ZHANG Ye, LV Jihong, DONG Wenhua, LI Danyang, LIU Hegang, WANG Lida, WANG Qingshuang, HUANG Huali, GU Xiaodan, HU Yuqing, DENG Yao, and WANG Zhixin, formed a professional team of teachers to provide students with all-round teaching guidance. By virtue of the application of the teaching model that integrates theory development, thinking training, famous teacher demonstration, artistic practice and tracking instruction, the curriculum provision authentically realized the talent cultivation in accordance with students' aptitude and the practical improvement of students' professional level on the basis of highlighting features, thus effectively embodying the student training objectives of "small batch" and "high level" formulated by YU Junjian National Vocal Music Senior Seminar.
