To help newly enrolled international students of the spring semester adapt to their study and life in China at an early date and strengthen their awareness of the law and risk prevention capabilities, college of Chinese & ASEAN Arts jointly organized an informative and practical orientation and legal lecture for new international students of the 2026 spring semester with Longquanyi District Exit-Entry Administration on the afternoon of March 24.

Adopting a university-local cooperation model, the event aimed to deliver all-round guidance and services to international students. During the lecture, police officers from Longquanyi District Exit-Entry Administration gave an easy-to-understand explanation focusing on two major themes: legal guidelines for international students in China and a life guide for staying in Chengdu. The session covered policies and regulations on document processing, visa extension and other residence procedures for foreigners, as well as practical anti-fraud tips for daily life. With real cases and video materials, the officers vividly reminded students to protect personal and property safety, abide by Chinese laws and regulations, and enhance self-protection awareness.

In addition, the Student Affairs Office clarified daily management rules for international students, helping them understand their rights and obligations on campus, develop sound study and living habits, and better integrate into campus life.

This orientation and legal lecture provided timely and effective guidance for spring intake students, and fully reflected the college’s care for international students. Through face-to-face communication with police officers, overseas students gained a deeper understanding of Chinese laws and regulations as well as local life in Chengdu, laying a solid foundation for a safe, fulfilling and rewarding study journey in China.

The college will continue to uphold the student-centered education philosophy, integrate social resources, and optimize the management and service system for international students. It strives to cultivate more law-abiding international art talents who understand and befriend China, enabling every international student to embrace the warmth of China and pursue artistic dreams in a safe, law-based and friendly environment.
