Two Professors of Our College Are Admitted to the Leading Talent Project and Youth Innovative Talent Project in the National Radio, Television and Network Audiovisual Industry in 2020

Recently, a Notice on the List of Those Who Are Admitted to the Leading Talent Project and Youth Innovative Talent Project in the National Radio, Television and Network Audiovisual Industry in 2020 is published by the National Radio and Television Administration, and two professors including Zhang Juan and Xu Zhiqiang of the School of Film and Animation are respectively admitted  successfully to the Leading Talent Project in the National Radio, Television and Network Audiovisual Industry in 2020 and the Youth Innovative Talent Project in the National Radio, Television and Network Audiovisual Industry in 2020.



The leading talent project and youth innovative talent project in the radio, television and network audiovisual industry is a major step to implement the talent strategy in the radio, television and network audiovisual industry. As required by relevant documents such as Notice on the Recommendations and Selections of Leading Talent Project and Youth Innovative Talent Project in the National Radio, Television and Network Audiovisual Industry in 2020 issued by the National Radio and Television Administration, on basis of the lists recommended by regions and relevant organizations, and upon qualification, expert evaluation and social publicity, the list included in the leading talent project and youth innovative talent project in the national radio, television and network audiovisual industry in 2020 is discussed and published by the National Radio and Television Administration. The project covers excellent talents in news publication, literary and artistic creation, international communication, business management, scientific and engineering technology, and theoretical research. It aims to cultivate a number of high-level leaders with outstanding academic achievements and widespread influence, and young outstanding talents dedicated in serving the country and innovation in the industry. By this, a strong organizational and talent support will be provided for the radio, television and network audiovisual industry to promote its high-quality and innovative development.

It is reported that 4 teachers in Sichuan Province are admitted to the leading talent project (2 teachers) and youth innovative talent project (2 teachers) in the radio, television and network audiovisual industry in 2020. The inclusion of Prof. Zhang Juan and Prof. Xu Zhiqiang represents the state recognition of the research level and excellent talents of our school, the first-class professional standard and strong teaching force of the School of Film and Animation, and the long-term progress in faculty construction and talent cultivation, and will motivate us to forge ahead for a new height.


Zhang Juan, national leading talent in the radio, television and network audiovisual industry



Zhang Juan is a candidate of the 12th batch of Sichuan provincial academic and technological leader, a supervisor of master degree students, a member of the expert base of the national artistic science and technology program, a member of the expert base of Science & Technology Department of Sichuan Province, a council member of the Professional Committee of Animation and Digital Media Art for Chinese Institutes, a member of the Animation Art Committee of China TV Artists Association, Director of Animation Professional Committee of Sichuan Provincial Network Audiovisual Association, Deputy Director of Theory and Comments Professional Committee of Sichuan Provincial Film Association. She used to be a judge of animation contests such as CYBER SOUSA Xiamen International Animation Festival, GPICA Sichuan TV Festival, and Asian Youth Animation & Comics Contest. She presided over two national social science fund projects, one national artistic fund projects, and many provincial projects; she published more than fifty academic articles and works. She was an independent film screenwriter for China Pavilion at the World Expo for two consecutive years. Her works were honored the first and second awards of video clips on socialist core values issued by National Radio and Television Administration. her works were included in the "Motivity" Support Plan of National Radio and Television Administration, China Animation & Comic Art Exhibition, the key projects in "Sichuan Fine Arts Creation and Production Plan", the excellent animation recommended by National Radio and Television Administration. Her team results include the second award of teaching results in Sichuan Province, the first award of science and technology progress in Chengdu City, and the merit result award of social science in Chengdu City.


Xu Zhiqiang, national youth innovative talent in the radio, television and network audiovisual industry


Xu Zhiqiang is a professor, research fellow, and supervisor of master degree students, an IEEE senior member, and a candidate of academic and technological leaders in Sichuan Province. He obtained his bachelor and master degrees in Communication University of China and Nanyang Technological University, respectively, and is now working for his doctoral degree in the Education University of Hong Kong. He was titled a national youth innovative talent in the radio, television and network audiovisual industry, a national excellent supervisor in innovation and entrepreneurship by the Ministry of Education, the youth technology award of Chinese radio, movie and television (G.K.J.S. No. 0073), a member of Sichuan Education Steering Committee in Journalism and Communication, and an expert in Sichuan Expert Service Group. He also serves as a member of Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Science & Technology Department of Sichuan Province, Chongqing Bureau of Science and Technology, and the evaluation expert base of science and technology award in Hebei Province. He has long engaged in the research of production and teaching integration in digital media communication, media integration and smart all media, cultural consumption and information communication, etc. He published over 80 papers on academic journalists such as Modern Communication (Journal of Communication University of China), China Publishing Journal, TV Research, China Radio & TV Academic Journal, and Media; published 3 monographs, and published 6 textbooks as a chief editor. He hosted more than 20 provincial, ministerial and various social service programs such as the production and teaching collaborative education program of the Ministry of Education, and the natural science key project of the Education Department of Sichuan Province. He obtained awards more than 20 times, including the Science and Technology Award of China Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (G.K.J.S. No. 0073), the first award of excellent papers on Chinese science and technology communication, the award of excellent thesis on Chinese news technology, and the award of excellent result by China BRI Doctorate Forum.
