On the evening of October 5, the award ceremony of the 6th "Academy Awards of Musical" was held in Beijing. Red Plum Blossom, a large-scale original musical jointly produced by the College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts and Zigong Culture & Tourism Investment and Development Co., Ltd., won the "Excellent Performance Team" prize. Jiang Qianru, who portrayed Jiang Zhuyun in the play, was named "Best Musical Actress," while Xi Qirun, who played Deng Kunrong, was awarded the "Most Elegant Musical Performer."

This year's "Academy Awards of Musical" included approximately 200 pieces from 64 art colleges and troupes at home and abroad. After reviews by 16 industry experts, the teams and individuals who entered the re-evaluation stage were selected, including contestants from top domestic art academies such as the Central Academy of Drama, Central Conservatory of Music, China Conservatory of Music, Nanjing University of the Arts, and Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Finally, the "Best Performing Team" prize went to the team from the Central Academy of Drama who played the Wild Flowers on the Grassland; The winners of the "Excellent Performance Teams" prize were the team from the Beijing Song and Dance Theater who performed In the Distance, the team from the Nanjing University of the Arts who performed Choose Life, and the team from the College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts who performed Red Plum Blossom.
Red Plum Blossom is a youth epic about the growth of Jiang Zhuyun as a revolutionary martyr. It is produced by a world-class domestic team and is a large-scale original musical made by professional actors, teachers, and students from the School of Music and Dance, College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts. Teachers and students made up more than 90% of the overall performance team members. This award recognizes the dedication of all the principal creators of Red Plum Blossom. The College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts will continue to work diligently, adhering to a philosophy of ideology and artistry, and producing literary and creative works imbued with the temperament of the times.
