The Launch Ceremony of the Work Review for the Sichuan Division of the 15th China Creative Challenges Contest Was Held in Our School

    At 9:00 am on October 17, the 15th China Creative Challenges Contest Sichuan Division Work Review Activity and Launch Ceremony was held in the First Conference Room of the New Campus of the College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts, Chengdu University. The event was sponsored by the China Creative Challenges Contest Organizing Committee, organized by the School of Film and Animation of the College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts, and co-organized by the Sichuan 2011 Animation and Game Collaborative Innovation Center and the Animation and Comic Special Committee of the Sichuan Network Audio-Visual Association.

Professor Huang Xinyuan, Secretary-General of the Steering Committee for the Teaching of Animation and Digital Media in Higher Education Institutions, the Ministry of Education, Chairman of the Jury of China Creative Challenges Contest, Professor Peng Jixiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Art Education Committee, the Ministry of Education, Distinguished Academic Dean of the College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts, Professor Huai Yongjian, Member of Steering Committee for the Teaching of Animation and Digital Media in Higher Education Institutions, the Ministry of Education, Professor at the School of Information Science and Technology of Beijing Forestry University, and Professor Luo Jianglin, Vice President of Jilin Animation Institute attended the ceremony.

Professor Peng Jixiang welcomed all leaders and experts and conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to the organizing committee of the 15th China Creative Challenges Contest for its unwavering support, assistance, affirmation, and trust in the Sichuan Division. It conveyed Dean Yu Junjian’s best wishes for the successful holding of the competition, introduced the construction and development of the College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts of Chengdu University to the guests present, and hoped that the review activity would be a complete success.

Huang Xinyuan highly commended the competition's preparations and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the sponsors, organizers, the Sichuan Provincial Division Organizing Committee, and the experts who participated in the review of the China Creative Challenges Competition.

The speech given by Professor Xie Qingfeng


Professor Xie Qingfeng, Secretary-General of the Digital Creativity Major Committee of the Association of Fundamental Computing Education in Chinese Higher Education Institutions, Secretary-General of the Organizing Committee of China Creative Challenges Contest, expressed wholehearted thanks to Chairman Huang Xinyuan for his care and guidance and introduced the contest's development to the judge. He stated that the China Creative Challenges Contest was conducted fifteen times in a row. This year, there were more than 30 competition areas, with around 1,500 colleges and universities competing. The review invites industry-representative expert judges to participate, therefore establishing a positive reputation and extensive reach. He hoped that the Good Creative Competition will continue to foster the growth of disciplines and majors with the strong support of the government and enterprises. Through the competition platform, universities can communicate with one another, increase major quality construction, and boost the growth of disciplines and industrial service capabilities.

Professor Guo Daorong, Director of the Organizing Committee of the Sichuan Division of the China Creative Challenges Contest and Dean of the School of Film and Animation, welcomed the leaders and experts present and sincerely expressed his gratitude to the China Creative Challenges Contest Organizing Committee and the fraternal colleges and universities in the Sichuan Division. He gave a brief introduction to the solicitation of this competition and wished this review activity a complete success!

Professor Zhang Juan presided over the review ceremony, the Deputy Director of the Sichuan Division Organizing Committee and the Deputy Dean of the School of Film and Animation.

According to information received, the work review team consists of Professor Xie Qingfeng, Secretary-General of the Organizing Committee of China Creative Challenges Contest, Professor Shi Lei, Member of the Steering Committee for the Teaching of Journalism and Communication in Higher Education Institutions, the Ministry of Education, Dean of the School of Humanities, Southwest Jiaotong University, Professor Huang Meizi, Member of Steering Committee for the Teaching of Animation and Digital Media in Higher Education Institutions, the Ministry of Education, Vice President of Sichuan University of Media and Communications, Professor Liu Xingquan, Dean of Art College of Southwest Minzu University, Professor Zhang Lijun, Dean of School of Art and Media, Sichuan Agricultural University, Professor Zhou Jingming, Executive Vice Dean of Chengdu Academy of Fine Arts, Sichuan Conservatory of Music, and other 30 experts. The competition received around 2,000 works, of which 1,737 were eventually registered to participate in the evaluation, and 12% of the total submissions will be qualified to participate in the national competition review.

The China Creative Challenges Contest ("3C Contest" or "China Creative Challenge Contest" for short) is a project that was selected for recognition in the 2020 National University Discipline Competition Ranking List published by the China Association of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education. It is also a prestigious event in China, with a vast audience, numerous universities participating, and a measurable influence in the fields of digital art design creativity and electronic technological innovation. The competition aims to extensively explore, select, and promote elite talents and outstanding works in China's creative field, encourage original creation to stimulate innovative thinking, showcase the latest achievements in digital art and technological innovation, and disseminate the latest concepts of the digital art design, electronic technology innovation, and the industry-university-research integration.
