International Department of College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts (CCAA) has achieved remarkable success in both the national "China Creative Challenges Contest" and the provincial "Sichuan Creative Challenges Contest," with multiple student works standing out from numerous entries for their profound interpretation and innovative expression of Chinese culture, earning important awards at the national and provincial levels.

These competition outcomes reflect the educational philosophy of the International Department: "using competitions as training, promoting growth through contests." Among the award-winning works, Chengdu: A City on the Move, jointly created by international students from Vietnam, Thailand, Pakistan, and other countries, received the National First Prize in Curriculum Ideology and Politics at the China Creative Challenges Contest. This project is not only a key achievement of the curriculum reform in the China Profile course but also, through the unique perspective of international students, explores the cultural essence of Chengdu. It serves as a vivid practice in guiding international students to tell China's stories well and deeply understand Chinese culture.

At the provincial competition level, students from the International Department have also delivered impressive performances: Vietnamese student Dang Thi Thu Huyen's work won the First Prize in the Sichuan Creative Challenges Contest, while Myanmar student Thu Sin May's work received the Second Prize, further demonstrating the potential and talent of international students in cross-cultural creative work.

The 19th China Creative Challenges Contest reportedly achieved massive participation, with 2,094 institutions involved nationwide. The main category received 358,601 submissions, while special and timed competitions attracted an additional 66,470 entries, bringing the total number of participating works to 425,071. That students of International Department earned honors amid such intense competition not only affirms their individual professional capabilities and cultural understanding, but also strongly validates the college's teaching model of "enhancing learning and nurturing talent through competitions." Looking ahead, International Department of CCAA will continue to leverage competitions as a bridge, encouraging international students to gain a deeper appreciation of Chinese culture and cultivating more outstanding talents equipped with cross-cultural communication skills.
