When Cello Strings Sing Stage Melodies

For forty years, light and shadow have danced with music,
where keys and bows converge in vibrant dialogue.
This autumn night in Chengdu,
witness the magic of film and musical theatre
unfold in a brilliant celebration.

Umit Isgorur
Turkish Cellist; Specially Appointed Associate Professor and International Faculty at College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts (CCAA). Former Dean of the National Conservatory at Dokuz Eylül University in Turkey, he is recognized as the country's first tenured Cello Professor. As former Principal Cellist of the Lansing Symphony Orchestra and Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra in Michigan, USA, he has performed in over thirty countries across Europe, the Americas, and Asia.

 

Wilson Chu

Pianist and Improvisation Artist; International Faculty at CCAA. An accomplished opera vocal coach and award-winner of multiple international competitions, he previously held positions including Music Deputy Director and Opera Vocal Coach at Scottish Opera and other opera companies in the United Kingdom.

Venue Guidelines

  1. The concert hall recommends arriving at least 30 minutes before the performance. To avoid delays during bag storage, please avoid bringing bags or large items. Small bags may be stored at the cloakroom before entry. Dangerous items, snacks, and beverages are not permitted.

  2. Strict one-person-one-ticket policy with assigned seating. Please do not change seats. Free admission is granted upon ticket verification at the entrance.

  3. To maintain a pleasant environment for all guests, children under 7 years old are not admitted.

  4. Please switch mobile phones to silent or off mode during the performance. Flash photography is prohibited. If you must use your phone, please set the screen brightness to minimum.

  5. Professional photography or video recording equipment is not allowed.

  6. Entry after the performance begins is not permitted. Latecomers may be admitted during intervals or breaks at the staff's discretion.

  7. Please avoid leaving your seat during the performance. If necessary, exit only between pieces or during intermission.
