On May 15, 2024, at 10:45 AM, College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts of Chengdu University welcomed Professor Natasa Veljkovic, piano professor and doctoral supervisor from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, for a piano performance sharing session at the Concert Hall of Chengdu ASEAN Art Center.
Professor Natasa presented five world-renowned classical pieces in a small concert format. The event created an immersive experience where she naturally transitioned between performances and demonstrations of piano techniques, providing valuable insights for attending faculty and students.

Expert Profile
Professor at the Piano Department of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, guest professor at Ostrava Conservatory, principal pianist of Vienna's "Five Seasons Beethoven Concerto Festival," first prize winner of the Clara Haskil International Piano Competition, and long-term collaborating pianist with European national symphony and chamber orchestras. She also serves as a jury member for several international piano competitions across Europe.
Natasa was admitted as a prodigy at the age of 14 to the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where she studied under the renowned Austrian piano master Paul Badura-Skoda. She is internationally recognized as one of the most authoritative interpreters of Mozart and Schubert's works. After graduating with top honors, Natasa pursued advanced studies at the Juilliard School under Rudolf Firkusny and at the Geneva Conservatory under Harry Datyner.
Natasa has participated in numerous world-renowned music competitions, winning multiple prestigious awards. She has consistently collaborated with globally acclaimed musicians in concerts, academic salons, and album recordings, establishing herself as Austria's national treasure artist. Her exceptional performances have graced diverse European music and film festivals, including Montreux, Berlin, the Chopin Festival in Poland, the MIDEM Classical Music Festival in Cannes, and the Juventus Festival in Cambrai, as well as events in Toulouse, Algarve, the Attergau Cultural Festival, and the Carinthian Summer International Music Festival.
